Chilhowie Warriors Wallops Blue Devils

   The Chilhowie Warrriors scored nine runs in their first three times at the plate to wallop the Grayson County Blue Devils 18-4 in a game played at Grayson County.

    The Warriors’  Brandon Miller and Asher Chapman both knocked in four runs each, and both had two hits apiece. 

Brent Kilbourne pitched the first three innings for the win, as he allowed three runs on five hits. He walked three and struck out three. Landon Bowman went the last two innings as he struck out three in his two innings of relief.

    Brycen Robinson had two hits, an RBI, and scored three runs. Jayden Schwartz had two hits, scored twice, and knocked in two for the Warriors.

    Grayson County got two hits from Maverik Goad as he had an RBI and scored a run. Luke Stockner and Zach Weatherman had an RBI. Starting pitcher Spencer Isom took the loss as he lasted just 2.1 innings. He surrendered eight runs, five hits, and walked four. Only five of the runs were earned as Grayson committed three errors.

   “We made too many mistakes today,” said Grayson County head coach Stephen James. “We committed three errors, and we walked 11 batters.”

    Chilhowie improved to 4-1 on the season while Grayson dropped to  3-3.
