Cougars go 3-0 this Week

Staff Report
The Pulaski County Cougars girls beat Blacksburg, Cave Spring and Hidden Valley this past week to
move to 13-3 on the season.
The Cougars beat Blacksburg last Friday night on the road 53-45.
The Cougars pulled away after a Blacksburg three-pointer by Brynn Ferguson was waived with 1:14 left
for an illegal screen that would have tied the game at 45-45.
The rematch is set for Monday night at Pulaski County.
This past Monday night, Pulaski County traveled to Cave Spring where the Cougars won 60-47.
The physical contest was close early, with the Cougars leading 17-14 after the first quarter.
The officials let girls play with it getting out of hand at times.
Pulaski County head coach Scott Ratcliff was out on the floor several times during the second half
complaining about the physicality of the play and the lack of no fouls being called.
The Cougars pulled away a little each quarter and eventually won the game 60-47.
Tuesday night a much-improved Hidden Valley team came to the Cougar den. The Titans are well
coached and have more talent than they have had in years.
The Titan’s tied the game during the fourth quarter, but Morgan Vest put the Cougars on her shoulders
scoring several crucial baskets to give Pulaski County the win, 58-48.
The Cougars will play next Friday night at Patrick Henry.
